Chloe Madeley has opened up about her parents Richard Madeley and Judi Finnigan's reactions to her split from her estranged husband James Haskell.

The former couple, who share their one-year-old daughter Bodhi together, announced that they were separating back in October after five years of marriage.

Dancing on Ice finalist Chloe, 36, has opened up about her split from former rugby union player James, 38, as she admits that she found announcing the news very difficult but has had Richard, 67, and Judy, 75 there to support her along the way.

Speaking to OK! magazine, the mum-of-one confessed that she "cried all day" when her statement announcing her separation from James was released, the Mirror reports.

She said that her TV royalty parents who are best known for having hosted This Morning together did not leave her side as she struggled to cope through the end of her marriage.

During a recent interview, she told the outlet: "The day that the statement came out, James had Bodhi and I went round to my parent's house and I just sat and cried all day.

"They just gave me massive hugs and didn't leave my side."

Chloe added that her parents have been "incredible" about her separation as she revealed that they have approached her tough situation the exact same way they have dealt with other experiences in her life.

She said: "My mum and dad's title line is, 'As long as you're happy, we support you.' So they're fine."

Chloe continued: "Everyone is very adult about it. No one has any interest in any family drama. I'm so grateful to have parents like that."

Praising her parents, who have previously fronted their own Channel 4 chat show Richard & Judy together, she described them as "so kind, warm, generous, funny and intelligent" before adding "I really hit the jackpot."

Chloe and James were together for almost a decade before they announced their separation on Instagram last year.

The news of their split came just weeks after their ITVBe series Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair launched on October 9.

The former couple both issued separate statements with Chloe telling her followers: "James and I mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023.

"We did not want to release a statement at all, certainly not while the television show was airing, but the constant press speculation about our marriage has forced our hand.

"Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, as it is private and we have a daughter to co-parent, whom we will love and protect at all costs."
