It’ll surely be the showbiz wedding of the year, with A-List invitees including Kate Moss, Harry Styles, Abbey Clancy, and Peter Crouch, to name but a few.

Former Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw will wed his fiance Mesh Henry this summer, ahead of turning 40 in August. He plans to attend Glastonbury festival first in June, which will no doubt see half his VIP guests in attendance. “It’s my birthday in August,” he tells chef Angela Hartnett on their Dish podcast. “Eight months, so not for a while. Marriage, that is probably going to happen this year as well. I think we’ve got to crack on with it. So that’s my 2024 - Glastonbury, wedding, turning 40.”

At Nick’s 30th birthday, guests included Abbey, Kate, as well as Florence Welch and Dermot O’Leary, and his fashionable pals include the likes of Alexa Chung and Henry Holland, who will no doubt wear some fabulous hats for the occasion, and he could probably rope in pal Angela to do the catering.

The couple, who have been dating for five years, got engaged in March when Mesh popped the question, though Nick revealed it took him a month to find the right time. “He’d been trying for like a month, and he said he kept going to get the box and then I was like: ‘I’m in a well bad mood’, and he’d put it back.” Nick has described how he knew the pair would wed the second he saw him in a pub smoking area. The latest episode of Dish from Waitrose & Partners is out now.

Paddy's coffee intrigue

A study conducted at Oxford University investigated why coffee spills so easily while walking, to assist office workers returning to work yesterday, with students tasked with carrying beverages while walking backwards as part of their extensive research, to determine how best to keep the liquid stable.

Paddy McGuinness viewed this with intrigue. “Due to social economic factors I missed out on going to University,” he said. “This as always filled me with sorrow and regret. “On the plus side I’ve never scalded myself, walking backwards, with a red hot cup of tea in my hand. Every cloud.” To save yourself the same danger, walking backwards can help slightly, according to the research. But you’re far more likely to crash into a colleague, and get reported to HR, so maybe spills aren’t quite so bad.
