Coronation Street star 'splits from girlfriend' after less than two years
by Stella Akinwumi · MetroCoronation Street star Greg Wood has split from his documentary maker girlfriend Clair Nuttal, according to reports.
The soap villain actor, 44, who is known for playingloan shark Rick Neelan on the ITV soap, has removed all traces of Clair from his Instagram after the pair went official in July 2022.
It’s also believed that Greg has also unfollowed Clair.
The Sun claims that the actor has now seemingly ended things with his former partner for good.
Manchester-based Clair is an award winning doc filmmaker and has worked on a range of short films and TV shows.
The soap star previously dated Sheridan Smith but the pair ended their relationship in 2016.
After landing his first soap role in Hollyoaks, Greg later played a drug dealer in Brookside and had small appearances in Emmerdale and Casualty.
Rick Neelan’s reign of terror on Corrie lasted for almost 10 years, on and off. The first person to fall foul of him in the Street was Joe McIntyre (Reece Dinsdale), Gail Platt (Helen Worth)’s fiancé at the time, in a storyline that led to Joe’s death by drowning in the Lake District.
Gary Windass (Mikey North) found himself heavily in debt to Rick, and eventually killed him in self defence.
His character was also the father of Kelly Neelan, played by current Doctor Who star Millie Gibson.
