by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveTina O'Brien has said "I wish" as she clapped back at a post from ITV Coronation Street about her character Sarah Barlow. ITV soap star Tina was responding on Instagram, in a self-deprecating swipe at herself in the wake of the show airing a behind-the-scenes look at its Christmas display.
The official Instagram account for the soap typed: "The Christmas countdown has officially begun, and our festive helpers are busy transforming Weatherfield into a winter wonderland!," alongside a shot of Sarah's front room, which she shares with husband Adam Barlow.
"I wish Tina’s house was as decorated as Sarah’s" Tina then responded. Adam replied: "Considering she’s a single mum how can she afford the look. She should be struggling for funds." Lesley said: "Of course Sarah's is going to be beautiful and classy Christmas - but what I'm excited for is chesney & Gemma's.

"I hope they have a real tinselly, colourful, 90's tacky style Christmas. You can't beat a bit of tack at Christmas it's just more fun and family imo than all the nice to look at 'classy' decorated houses." Reb said: "Use a little Christmas magic and bring Sarah and Adam together again."
Katie said: "Do the decorators wanna come do mine please...my heart not in it this year" Maureen said: "Fancy pants, but I am never going to be happy until the Rovers opens again." Fiona said: " @coronationstreet absolutely beautiful. Merry Christmas xxxxx."
Last week, Corrie fans rushed to defend Tina after a troll called out her snap of her and her lookalike daughter Scarlett Thomas. The actress, 40, was a vision in red while Scarlett wowed in a sparkly black slit number at the RTS award show in Manchester.
She captioned the image: "With my absolute bestie." But in reply, a critic said: "That young girl is around 14-15 years of age. It’s an absolute disgrace that she is made out to look like a 22-year-old. Blonde dyed hair and make-up and slit dress to her top thigh. Look, each to their own. I’m a great fan of both parents. But I certainly don’t think the dad approved this look."
In response, fans rushed to call out the ‘unnecessary’ comment.
