ITV Coronation Street legend says 'it's fabulous' and hints at joining EastEnders

ITV I'm A Celebrity star Beverley Callard, who starred as Liz McDonald in Coronation Street, has kept out of the limelight since her Weatherfield exit.
But now Bev has spoken out over a potential switch to EastEnders on the BBC. Taking to social media, on Twitter/X, one fan wrote: "Isn't it about time EastEnders introduced a Long lost Mitchell or Slater or Carter sister/aunt?!"
Beverley then replied: "Love that idea X" Beverley then responded to another fan of the Walford soap who wrote: "Well Kathy Beale's apparently got a sister we've never seen, sure @DaranLittle would create an incredible character."

The actress then said: "What do you think Daran? That would be fab X." Beverley went onto reply to even more fans to say she was "loving" the thought of heading to EastEnders. The 66-year-old is known for her role as Liz McDonald in the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street.
She also starred as Flo Henshaw in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. In November 2020, it was announced that Callard would take part in the twentieth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here. Callard became the third celebrity to be voted off, alongside Victoria Derbyshire on 30 November.
Since March 2022, Callard has appeared in Gold comedy Newark, Newark. In 2023, Callard was announced as one of the participants on Channel 4 series Don't Look Down, in aid of Stand Up to Cancer, alongside host Paddy McGuinness.
Footballer Anton Ferdinand, presenter and Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, sports presenter and Love Island finalist Chris Hughes and French football icon David Ginola also starred. Charley Boorman, TikTok star GK Barry, content creator and comedian Fats Timbo and Olympic champion cyclist Victoria Pendleton completed the line-up.
