Remote GTA 6 release date window revealed as Rockstar goes live early with attention-grabbing first trailer
by Daniel R Deakin · NotebookcheckIt appears leakers have forced Rockstar Games’ hand in regard to the highly anticipated GTA 6 trailer, which was expected to be shown on Tuesday, December 5 at 9 AM ET. The developer recently posted to its social media channels that the trailer had been leaked, so it was now officially live for fans who would rather watch it in all its intended glory (video embedded below). At the time of writing, the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer had already amassed over 2.5 million likes in just over three-quarters of an hour from going live.
Unsurprisingly, the GTA 6 visuals look astonishing, as viewers are treated to small insights of Vice City life and the comings and goings of the main protagonists, Lucia and Jason. Along with learning about the criminal partners’ activities, gamers might even have to contend with huge and hungry crocodiles that appear to be a frequent occurrence in the game along with the usual various law enforcement agencies. It has been rumored that the map for Grand Theft Auto VI is twice the size of that of GTA 5’s Los Santos.
However, those fans hoping for a GTA 6 release date landing in 2024 will not be best pleased about the ending of the trailer, which reveals the timeframe for the game: “coming 2025”. There were some expectations that Grand Theft Auto VI could actually arrive toward the end of next year, but it appears Rockstar Games wants to make sure the game is fully ready without suffering any Cyberpunk 2077-style teething issues. As GTA 5 (available on Amazon) was released back in 2013, another year or so for GTA 6 hardly seems like a major surprise at this point.
