Meghan Markle has taken a different approach method as she launches her American Riviera Orchard brand, it has been claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, recently unveiled her new lifestyle brand, which is poised to sell items like cooking condiments and home decor pieces. It was also recently announced that Meghan is working on a new Netflix project which will supposedly celebrate "the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship", with the show announced shortly after Meghan unveiled her new brand.

And ahead of her brand officially launching, Meghan sent out homemade strawberry jam to 'soft launch' her lifestyle brand. She gifted the jam to celebrities and famous pals such as Kris Jenner and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Meghan Markle is gearing up to launch American Riviera Orchard

Talking exclusively to The Mirror about Meghan's strategy of sending her jams to friends and famous influencers on social media, public relations guru Lynn Carratt said that she feels it is "a brilliant tactic to increase brand awareness for American Riviera Orchard".

She went on: "Above anything, Meghan is very well connected and her friends have a huge following across social media platforms. The cost of 50 pots is nothing compared to the millions of people who have seen the posts across social media. The power of the celebrity endorsement on the jam is remarkable."

Ms Carratt continued: "The new jam has finally been revealed to the world, but there is still uncertainty regarding its price and availability to the public."

She then touched on Meghan's new strategy when she noted how "it’s a positive sign that the focus is on promoting the brand rather than the person behind it, which is a departure from past PR tactics". Ms Carratt concluded by saying: "Although, as Meghan has soft launched her brand, fans who want to purchase products may be come a little frustrated as America Rivera Orchard doesn’t have a website yet, just a holding page with an email registration."
