Pete Wicks has confessed he was green with envy over his mate Sam Thompson's new pals in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

The reality star revealed that the budding bromances between Sam, Marvin Humes, and Tony Bellew left him feeling a bit left out.

Discussing the events on their Staying Relevant podcast, Pete said: "I said before you went away that I was most scared of you getting a bromance and leaving me behind." Further stating, "That started with Marvin - with the singing and the hugging. And then it completely and utterly destroyed me when Tony came in..."

Just after Sam scooped the crown as King of the Jungle, Pete was there to welcome him and couldn't wait to probe. Sam recalled: "One of the first things Pete said to me was 'what's this about Marvin and Teddy T [Sam's nickname for Tony]?' It was at that moment I knew that Pete was jealous."

After taking out the win, there's chat that Sam and his beloved Zara McDermott could be in line for big things. An inside source told the Daily Star: "They know Sam is a star. The big bosses are all keeping a very close eye on what he does next because they see him as the next big thing."

"The wonderful thing about Sam is he is just unapologetically himself and that's what people love. He is set to become a very very rich man when he steps outside that jungle life. And not just him, his girlfriend Zara, is expected to do well too, with them seen as the new power couple."

"We know ITV are already working behind the scenes on what they could offer Sam in terms of work and contracts in the hope of signing him up long term, but the BBC will be keeping a close eye too. He is a set to become Britain's golden boy."

"Sam Thompson would make a perfect addition to This Morning. Presenting and being on camera comes naturally to him and you get a sense he feels confident and comfortable doing it."
