Ryan Reynolds not so chilling as Deadpool in Dry Robe and woolly hat amid cold snap
Ryan Reynolds stars in Deadpool 3, which is due for release in July and has been filmed across London in the past several months, including amid the cold snap in January
by Isaac Crowson · The MirrorIt is no laughing matter for wisecracking Deadpool as he risks looking soft by fighting the chill with a Dry Robe and woolly hat.
Ryan Reynolds was snapped staying warm between takes while shooting the Marvel anti-hero’s third film in the south of England. Joining the 47-year-old, who was made up with character Wade Wilson’s facial scars, on the set were Hugh Jackman, 55,
as Wolverine and new sidekick Dogpool – a pooch with a matching red and black suit.
The film is due out in July, so hopefully Ryan won’t need the robe and hat for the premiere and can get back to looking cool.
The actor was spotted filming a scene in London last year, with Ryan - who first played Wade in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) - seen in the character's iconic red and black suit. He appeared to have been filming a car crash in the woods, with a stunt double said to have also been spotted on set. They're said to have worn Deadpool's suit "minus the eyes".
It's been suggested that it's being filmed in the UK so Ryan can more easily manage commitments with Wrexham AFC, having bought the club with Rob McElhenney in 2021.
Hugh Jackman returns as the character James 'Logan' Howlett, who is better known as Wolverine. He played the character in the X-Men film series. Hugh last played the role in Logan (2017), but is reprising the beloved character in Deadpool 3, reuniting with pal Ryan, whom he worked with on X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009).
A host of actors are set to return as their characters from the previous Deadpool films, like Morena Baccarin, who played Wade's fiancée Vanessa in the previous two films. Other former cast members expected to return in the upcoming sequel include actors Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna and Stefan Kapičić.
