Taylor Swift fans think she's updating Eras Tour setlist to include new song
The Eras Tour setlist could change when Taylor Swift returns to the stage later this year according to fans who think they've worked out when she can add a new song
by Amber O'Connor · The MirrorEver since Taylor Swift wrapped the European leg of her Eras Tour in London fans have been looking forward to her next shows. Following a brief break, the singer will hit the road again in October.
She's kicking off her shows in Miami before travelling to New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto, and Vancouver, where she'll finish her tour. But it's possible the shows she'll perform there will be unlike any she's performed before.
Swifties think the singer might be updating her setlist and that she's shared a glimpse of what's to come. Speculation has been rife ever since Swift shocked audiences at her final London show with a surprise performance of 'Florida!!!' featuring special guest Florence + The Machine.
Unlike her previous show with Ed Sheeran, which saw Swift's friend join her during her surprise song set, she welcomed Florence Welch onstage during 'The Tortured Poets Department'. In other words, she added the track from her new album to its era. It was no ad hoc performance either, as the song was performed with choreography and staging.
Now, fans are wondering if the track could be added to the official setlist for the first time when the tour resumes in Miami, Florida. As a fan pointed out on Reddit: "It was such a big performance! I think it'll be on the set list for the Florida shows at least but maybe without Florence like how we have fortnight without Post Malone."
Someone replied: "This! I think they added it to the setlist to stay at least for the next 3 Florida shows, but like you said probably without Florence. But since they already added it in and have it worked out I don't see any reason to remove it after Florida - it's a jam."
Another Swiftie added: "I think I saw someone say that they would probably add it to the setlist but it would be without Florence since they made the visuals and the choreography."
Whether or not Swift switches up her show remains to be seen. However, it wouldn't be surprising if she did update her setlist to perform a different selection of songs from her discography spanning more than 200 tracks. Earlier this summer, she overhauled the setlist to include her new 'TTPD' album, and with rumours swirling around her 'Reputation' re-release, there could be more changes ahead.
