Cammy Fortnite skin – what's included and when you can get the Street Fighter collab

Cammy is one of the six Street Fighter skins available in Fortnite, but hasn't been spotted in the Item Shop in a long time.

Fortnite has brought in and subsequently abandoned, many crossover skins over the years, and many players are wondering if one of Street Fighter's most iconic characters has met the same fate.

Capcom is no stranger to crossovers, Marvel, SNK, Nintendo, Family Guy and even Ryu from Street Fighter (basically being gaming's equivalent to the Kevin Bacon number). In fact, the very first Capcom character to appear in Fortnite was unsurprisingly Ryu, alongside Chun Li, and since then two more Fortnite x Street Fighter collabs have happened, with two more bundles featuring Sakura and Blanka, and Cammy and Guile respectively releasing in the time since.

The Cammy Fortnite skin comes with the Borealis Backer Back Bling (based on her iconic Super Street Fighter 2 English Manor stage) and – just like all the other Street Fighter characters – a unique emote in the form of her signature move the Cannon Spike which is then followed up with her win pose, all while her theme from Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo plays in the background. Just like the other Street Fighter characters, this emote is locked to the skin, so you won't be able to use it without having the Cammy Skin equipped.

The Cammy Fortnite Skin also has two styles, one based on her original leotard outfit seen from her debut appearance in Super Street Fighter 2 through to her alternate outfit in Street Fighter 6, however Epic Games have elected to give her a pair of tights alongside it to make it a bit more PG (plus it's probably cold on the island). Her alternate skin however is one of the wildest pulls. Rather than basing it off of her Street Fighter Alpha look (like they did with Chun-Li's alt) or an alternate skin from Street Fighter 5 (like they did with Ryu's alt) Epic instead based the Cammy Fortnite Skin's alternate style on concept art for her planned appearance in the terrible PS2 title Final Fight Streetwise.

How to get the Fortnite Cammy Skin

So, it's a bit complicated. The Fortnite Cammy Skin is an Item Shop skin, and wasn't a part of a previous season's battle pass, meaning that all hope isn't lost, but you can't get it right now. The issue is that you'll need to wait for Cammy (and the other Street Fighter skins for that matter) to appear in the Item Shop again. Cammy was available in two ways, you could buy her skin alongside the aforementioned Back Bling and Emote for 1,600 V-Bucks, or spend 2,200 V-Bucks on the Cammy and Guile Bundle which also includes a Loading Screen, and the Guile Skin (with alt, Emote, and Black Bling of his own).

The last time Cammy and the rest of the Street Fighter skins appeared in Fortnite was way back on August 1, 2022, with her having semi-regular appearances in the Fortnite Item Shop before then. This may seem like a pretty grim prospect, but we haven't lost hope just yet. Capcom have continued to collab with Fortnite, with a new set of Resident Evil skins appearing in the game last year when Resident Evil 4 was released (although there was nothing when Street Fighter 6 was released months later), and there are rumours of further collabs coming featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series according to Fortnite leaker HYPEX. So while we don't know when the Cammy Fortnite Skin will return, we are certain it'll happen someday.
