ITV I'm A Celebrity's Ant McPartlin 'furious' with Nella Rose and Frankie Dettori in brutal shutdown

Nella Rose and Frankie Dettori came away from the trial with no stars as Ant McPartlin let rip at them after, admitting he was 'furious' with their weak performance

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly lost their patience with Nella Rose and Frankie Dettori after making a total mess of the latest trial.

The pair seriously struggled when it came to unlocking the stars in a snake pit - and Nella got a nasty bite during and after the quest to win some food for the camp. They came away with nothing after the locks proved just too tricky - and Ant exploded after having to watch them at work.

"There's no strategy, there's no tactics," grumbled Dec first as he stood over the pair. "The scatter-gun approach is just not working." He then went on as the snake started to bite poor Nella: "Come on... come on." But the presenters weren't done there and Ant piled into the contestants once they returned to camp.

He had his turn to take a pop, saying: "I'm just going to say it. I'm not angry - I'm furious! How did they do such a terrible job? He is weakly shouting something, she hasn't got a strategy..... not a single coin? What on earth is wrong with these people?" Dec told him: "You need to calm down!" and she tried some breathing techniques to keep his pal quiet.

The reaction was similar to those watching at home. One viewer wrote: "How can two people be so bad at such a straightforward Bushtucker jeeeze" while another said: "Ant and Dec are right to go off on Nella and Frankie that was just pathetic..... #ImACeleb."

It came as I’m A Celebrity fans demanded to know why Nella's supposed reconciliation with Fred Sirieix wasn't shown after the pair apparently patched things up. Viewers were left stunned when Fred, 51, left Nella, 26, feeling "disrespected" and "offended" by comments he made to her amid some heartbreaking losses in her family. The YouTuber claimed the First Dates star was aware of her family tragedy so a comment he made to her in camp left her upset.

She told the Bush Telegraph: "Last night after dinner Fred made a comment about him basically how he could be my dad. I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away. I didn’t say anything about it last night because I was kind of just annoyed about it.

"So I slept on it and I kind of thought about it and I was just like, this is not the kind of person I want to be around." As Fred kept calling Nella that morning, she ignored him before telling him why she was upset. Fred was stunned as he apologised, admitting he was unaware that she was offended and that he had unwillingly made a faux pas.

However, despite accepting his sincere apology, Nella issued an ultimatum, saying: "You only get one chance to disrespect me. I accept your apology but let’s not be friends. How about that?" She was slated widely on social media for her reaction to what many say was an innocent mistake.

But it appears to be in the past. Josie Gibson asked Nella: "Are you and Fred friends yet?" to which Nella replied: "Yeah, yeah, yeah." The This Morning star went on: "Oh good. I knew you’d iron it out. I bet you get on really well now. I knew that would happen."
