A singer who topped the charts, had millions of streams on Spotify and performed for thousands in the noughties looks unrecognisable.

Singer Jack Christopher Allsopp is best known by his on stage name Just Jack, with his 2007 hit 'Starz In Their Eyes' becoming a huge favourite reaching number two in the charts and earning over 35 million plays on Spotify. The song was such a hit that it saw Jack perform at Glastonbury Festival, V Festival and T4 on the Beach. The singer went on to record more music, with five albums including The Outer Marker, Overtones, All Night Cinema, What We Did Today and most recently, That Was Now.

Whilst the singer is no longer fronting festivals or topping the charts, Jack is still making music yet happy to stay out of the limelight as it was never 'an environment he felt comfortable in'.

Just Jack reached number tow in the charts with his record 'Starz In Their Eyes'

In an interview with LadBible this summer, Jack explained: "I never tried to make a big radio hit. I never really wanted to be like a pop star. It was a strange time, it was a stressful time. I ended up being in a lot of environments that I wasn’t particularly comfortable in. I was grateful for the radio plays and stuff like that, but I never felt at home with pop people. That’s never how I saw myself."

The singer added: "I’ve always been a bit of a control freak. I think being in that world where you have managers and record labels and all these people around you pulling you in lots of different directions and things not always going as planned, there are so many things that you don’t really have control over.

"Now I have full control over literally everything, which obviously can be quite a lot of work. But I couldn’t be happier with that. It’s a great feeling and a real privilege to be in that position."

Jack, who's big hit in 2007 highlighted the perils of fame, is now happier out of the spotlight. The singer, who is now a father of two, now calls Brighton home and still continues to make music. Whilst Jack keeps his family life quiet and private, he does share snaps to Instagram and social media of himself enjoying life on the Brighton coast.
