Taylor Swift fans are furious over her father Scott Swift's emails which they say prove he "resents" her.

Scott Swift "vented" about his family in a new email that has circulated online as part of an ongoing lawsuit. In the emails, he came under-fire from fans for his bizarre rant about doing "anything" to advance his popstar daughter's career.

In one email, he moaned: "Who gets to go to New York, New England and every cool appearance? Not dad. Can't fix hair. Dad talks too much. Who pays for trips to New York? Dad." Scott emphatically added: "I am going to do anything that I think is appropriate to do to advance Taylor's career." Plus, in an apparent "dig" at Taylor's mum Andrea, he added: "Finally, if you want to get rid of me, please forward this to Andrea."

Fans were less than impressed with the content. They flocked to social media site X to comment.

One said: "I can't believe a father could resent his wife and a child that much. Scott Swift, when I see you."

Another said: "So this is just him feeling sorry for himself and thinking if it wasn't for HIM Taylor wouldn't be famous?!? He is throwing a hissy fit because he isn't getting credit for her talent and he paid for things And watched his other child. You know things parents should do?!?"

The emails have become public as Daniel Dymtrow is suing the Swifts in a new lawsuit. He formerly helped manage Britney Spears and agreed to manage Taylor beginning when she was 13. He managed her for two and a half years.

In the suit, he claims he was paid less than $10,000 (£7,845) for the work he put in and connections he gave Taylor's family. He claims that he was promised - verbally and in writing - that he would be protected financially and supported by the Swifts.

But on page 21 of court documents seen by The Mirror, there is a scathing email that was allegedly penned by Taylor's father Scott in 2005. The email has since been shared widely on sites like Reddit and X, with fans quick to react to the bombshell quotes from within it.

In one part of the email, Scott allegedly penned: "Bear with me, I need to vent. I know one thing. No-one is going to aid you and Taylor in becoming successful more than I will."

He went on: "I am your banker and I am you and Taylor's biggest fans. I will sell a s*** load of t-shirts."
