Fans have got a glimpse inside Kourtney Kardashian’s cluttered kitchen in a video leaked by her stepdaughter showing barely visible counter tops covered under piles of clothes.

17-year-old Alabama Barker, the daughter of Kourtney’s husband Travis Barker, shared the clip to her Instagram stories on Monday. Filming in the kitchen of her stepmom’s £7 million mansion, the teen shocked fans with the amount of mess clearly visible.

In the video, Alabama and her 47-year-old father were seen rifling through the mountains of clothes strewn out across the surfaces, with piles of clothes on hangers covering the kitchen counters. Another woman featured in the video, but the eldest Kardashian was nowhere to be seen, leading fans to wonder where, and why, she was hiding out.

Although Kourtney, 44, may have chosen to stay out of the post because she was embarrassed about the mess, her absence is more likely down to the star keeping a low profile following the birth of her son - who she is still yet to reveal to the world - on November 1. The reality star had a strict “invite only rule” for anyone coming to visit her newborn, named Rocky Thirteen Barker, according to reports from The US Sun. She has also shied away from social media and public outings, with an insider claiming the mother of four wants 40 days out of the spotlight to recuperate after giving birth.

"Her pregnancy was hard and physically and emotionally challenging, and she had no intention of rushing back out there - she wants to slow it all down,” they said. "Now as the 40 days are nearly up, Kourtney says she's going to take her time getting back to it."

The source even implied the star may never come back into the public eye: "Friends are worried she'll never return to public life - at least not at the level she was," they said.

Fans have previously suggested the Hulu star is keeping herself and her baby away from the public eye for health reasons, after she famously had a traumatic and difficult pregnancy journey. In September, she endured grueling surgery to save the life of her unborn baby.
