Strictly Come Dancing star Davood Ghadami has heaped praise on his EastEnders co-star Bobby Brazier following his success on the BBC show.

The young actor sailed through to the final last week, after wowing the judges and viewers at home with his semi-final performances. Bobby and his partner Dianne Buswell performed two routines - including a passionate Paso Doble. Now actor Davood has revealed how impressed he is with the dancer and commented on Bobby's spectacular progress in the competition.

The 41-year-old was a contestant on Strictly in 2017, where he was partnered with Nadiya Bychkova. He made it to the quarter-final before he bid farewell to the co-stars. Davood is best known for having played Kush Kazemi on EastEnders, Since quitting the soap in 2021, Ghadami went on to appear in Holby City and is currently starring in the pantomime Aladdin.

Davood believes Bobby will leave the show with his head held high, no matter the outcome. He said: "He will keep a strong mature head on his shoulders, he gets that from his dad and he's had real good guidance from him as well. So I feel like, you're seeing a person in their personal and professional growth and I wish him all the best and I think he's going to go and do great things.

"Like I say he's a really, really good guy and clearly a well deserving kind of cast member on the show and he's a hard worker, you can see that as well, I think that has to be rewarded. I think it's easy to think it all comes easy to everybody and the show is all about the glitz and the glamour, And I'm sure he'll do well, whatever the outcome of both Eastenders and Strictly."

Last week, Dianne and Bobby revealed they had an emotional week, with the fiery redhead also sharing that her partner has helped her fall in love with dance again. Speaking to Claudia Winkleman after receiving their scores, she said: "But this guy here, is just amazing. He has also has started from no dance experience. He’s only twenty years old which blows my mind completely every single day.

Wiping away tears, she added: "The one thing that I love most about Bobby is that he tells a story when he dances and it makes people feel something. Not only that, you’ve made me feel something and for that love for dance again."

Bobby Brazier, Layton Williams, and Ellie Leach are hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year's winner Hamza Yassin. But who will lift the Glitterball trophy? Find out on Saturday, December 16. Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One at 7pm.
