Royal Family Christmas cards from across the last 100 years show a variety of styles

Christmas in 2014 was a bleak time for millions of people across the globe as the horrors of the First World War raged. Far from the promise of having the troops home from Christmas, three more years of misery was to follow. To somewhat lighten the mood, King George V and Queen Mary released a simple black and white image.
