Days after the final, Bobby has now spoken out on his experience as he appeared alongside his dad Jeff on Loose Women. The 20-year-old told Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan, Stacey Solomon and Sophie Morgan how he’s coping after the show's finale, saying: "Honestly, and I'm glad I'm surrounded by four women to talk about this, I feel a bit lost."

He continued to say live on the lunchtime show on Wednesday (December 20): "I miss Diane. I’m eating ice cream for breakfast, I’m in no kind of physical place… I don’t know what to do, what do I do?"

While Stacey suggested the schedules are "gruelling" and that it "must be nice to have a break", Bobby replied: "Yeah, but how long can I keep eating ice cream for breakfast?"

Describing his time on Strictly, Bobby went on to share: "Immense joy and deep distress but memories that will last a lifetime. I knew from the very beginning that I didn’t want to miss out on anything, I wanted to experience all of Strictly and I feel like I did. I didn’t miss out on any of the dances, as I say, I experienced immense joy and deep distress and I welcomed it all and I loved every second. Actually, that’s a lie. I didn’t love every second."

TV presenter Jeff, who supported his son from the live audience almost every week, also discussed Bobby’s most popular dance and the routine dedicated to Bobby’s mum, Jade Goody. He said: "Especially that routine, the one for mum, and you’re watching it and it’s incredible to see him perform his grief.

"It’s not always been easy to verbalise so to actually do that is incredible for the family, incredible for anyone watching at home I’m guessing, that’s suffered a loss as well. Especially around this time of year which is really difficult for people.

"To speak for so many people, and to do it through the art of dance - which Bob has obviously grown to appreciate and love - there’s so much power to that.”

Asked whether he found dancing healing, Bobby said: "I fell in love over the course of the last couple of months, with just telling the story. Whether it’s the joyful story or the grief story, any kind of story, just the ability to express myself, with Dianne, through the means of a dance is so much fun.

"When you see it communicate with people and they’re feeling how you’re feeling, whilst you’re doing what you’re doing, it’s amazing. I love it."
