Katrina Kaif on her first meeting with Merry Christmas co-star Vijay Sethupathi: "We connected…”

Merry Christmas, one of the most anticipated films of the month is set to release in a matter of days. The film directed by Sriram Raghavan features Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in a twisted holiday mystery.

At a press conference ahead of the film's release, the film's cast and crew got together to share details about the making. When asked about her first meeting with her co-star Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina shared, “Our first meeting was all three of us in a room. I had recently seen a picture of Vijay sir and he had white hair and a white beard. It’s a picture that comes up a lot on the internet. So, I had always seen him that way. When I walked into the office, I didn’t know quite well what to expect.”

Referring to Vijay’s look from Jawan, Katrina added, “When I saw him like this, I was like ‘Oh wow, that’s a different look.’”

Talking about hitting it off with the team, Katrina said, “Everyone came just as themselves and we instantly connected. The minute Vijay sir started speaking about the scene, I thought ‘Okay, this is the person who views things in a unique way’. And Sriram sir has a unique take on everything including the way he sees stories and people.”

Merry Christmas is set to release on January 12, 2024, in theatres in Hindi and Tamil.
