Shah Rukh Khan's eagerly awaited return to the silver screen in the upcoming film Dunki has sparked enthusiasm among fans. The movie's advance booking has commenced with a positive reception, drawing love and support from cinephiles. Scheduled for release in just 24 hours, here's a comprehensive look at this comedy-drama.

Cast

Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles, Dunki also features Boman Irani in a significant part, while Vicky Kaushal makes a special appearance. Actors like Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, and Jyoti Subhash are also part of the film. 

Plot

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie centres on Hardy (portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan) and his friends in Laltu, Punjab, aspiring to move to London for better job prospects. Despite attending coaching classes, their immigration attempts fail. Determined to reach a foreign country, they opt for an unconventional route - the 'donkey flight' - attempting illegal entry. Will they succeed? The answer lies in the movie's plot.

Dunki Drops 

The teasers and trailers were unveiled through various 'Drops,' starting from Dunki: Drop 1 on Shah Rukh Khan's 58th birthday on November 2. The characters were introduced to the audience in the trailer released on December 5, showcasing Shah Rukh Khan in an older role.

Several drops also unveiled the film's songs, including lively tracks like Lutt Putt Gaya, Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se, O Maahi, and Banda, sung by Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam, and Diljit Dosanjh.

Certification and Run-time

Reports revealed that Dunki has obtained a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. Expect an entertainment-packed runtime of approximately 2 hours and 41 minutes.

Release Date

The much-anticipated Dunki is set to hit theatres on December 21, 2023.
