Lucinda Light and Timothy Smith have been struggling to forge a sexual connection in their new marriage as fellow groom Richard Sauerman blew a grenade into the room.

Married at First Sight Australia continued on Monday as the first commitment ceremony got underway. There was some home truths for the couples as they faced the experts.

Tim had been told to 'buckle up' by expert John Aiken. "You are going to need to get onboard and get uncomfortable or watch it sizzle out," he explained following Tim's time so far with 'touchy' bride Lucinda often getting too 'intense' for him.

However the couple both decided to stay in the experiment. Their relationship however had a grenade blown in the mix when Tim started laughing during Jack and Tori sitting on the couch, as expert John called out Jack's feelings towards an ex.

"Have you got something to say Tim?," John asked facing the group. Still smirking, Tim said: "There's more cracks in the room than people want to admit. The slow burn thing doesnt add up," referencing Jack claiming he's attracted to Tori and brushed aside a "disgruntled ex."

The topic took a swerve shift when Richard piped up unexpectedly claiming that Tim said on the mens bucks night Jack in fact said he wouldn't sleep with his bride on the first night, but Tim did.

The news shocked the group, with Tim previously saying he was a 'tin man' and took a lot to break down. He has been struggling to forge any closeness with his bride Lucinda having no intimacy at all as she became fuming at the statement.

Lucinda said: "My feelings were a bit hurt by Richards comment with Tim saying he would sleep with his bride on the first night and we havent been intimate.

"It shows how far me and tim have to go it feels like the slowest burn to even get a hug, I am feeling a little bit sore."

Meanwhile, relationship expert John Aiken confirmed that they will "not put up with people who are being complacent and tring to wear masks," as he later doubled down on Jack's drama surrounding his ex.

John said: "Just to be clear you were in a realtionship with someone else whilst applying for the show?," as Jack responded: "Yes. It wasn't serious, it was a weekend friends with benefits type thing."

His on-screen bride Tori appeared unbothered by the issue saying the couple will have "bigger fish to fry" during their journey together, but the rest of the group weren't buying into it.

Tritan was also given a warning from the experts after making a heartbreaking confession that he has "very little" he likes about himself. His patient bride Cassandra stood by him, however the experts admitted he needs to push past his feelings if they will continue to flourish.
