ITV Emmerdale New Year spoilers as romance is exposed and stolen car risks tragedy
Chaos is unfolding as Cathy, Hope and Angelica ditch their families and nick a car on New Year's Eve and the truth about Jacob and Victoria finally comes out.

Gabby admits her worry that Jacob has developed feelings for her however soon realises the truth about Jacob and Victoria when the penny drops about their romance and that he wasn't talking about her as she's left stunned at the news.
Both Jacob and Victoria are on edge as the truth begins to unravel and they realise they will need to tell Leyla and Pollard about their relationship and arrange a meeting down at the Woolpack.
The pair awkwardly admit to their relationship in the pub and confess that David also knew which was the reason for him leaving the village as ITV viewers spot an eavesdropping Gail is shocked.
Elsewhere, Cathy Hope, Angelica King and Heath Hope take a joy ride in Wendy Posner's car whilst Nicola wants the kids to help serve and obedient Jimmy is sent to find them.
Angelica and Heath are flirting in the car and spur Cathy to speed up. Jimmy still hasn’t traced them and Bob is alarmed to find Wendy's car is missing.

Bob eventually gets the truth from April that the three kids have stolen the car and rushes to follow them to Hotten. Nicola is frustrated to be pulled away from the Chairman as Brenda alerts her about what is all going on.
Heath’s impatience at Cathy’s driving speed builds as they have a near miss with another vehicle on the road which doesn't appear to affect Cathy as she puts her foot down.
Meanwhile Gus is absent and Rhona and Marlon are looking after Ivy when Rhona admits she has become attached to the baby as her own and pleads him to help make things work within the family confirming Marlon's worst fears.
Will Marlon be able to support his wife with what she so desperately needs?
