Prince William and King Charles would have been "hurt" from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's silence in the wake of Omid Scobie's bombshell new book according to claims.

Endgame made headlines across the world on its release after a Dutch version of the biography included an "error" which saw King Charles and Kate Middleton being named as the two 'racist' royals who allegedly raised "concerns" about the skin colour of Harry and Meghan's unborn son, Prince Archie.

The controversial author vehemently denied having any involvement in the naming of the two Firm members but later made a U-turn as he admitted that he did name the monarch and the Princess of Wales in an "early" draft of the book.

The racism allegations were first made by the Duchess of Sussex back in March 2021 during the couple's explosive sit down interview with Oprah Winfrey following their exit from the Royal Family, the Mirror reports.

However, when asked who it was that had questioned how dark Archie's skin would be before he was born, Meghan refused to name the person as she said it could be very damaging to their image.

Now that Omid Scobie's Endgame has revealed the two alleged royals in question, things are likely to have gotten a little awkward for Harry and Meghan as the bombshell biography has opened up a fresh royal feud.

Since its release, the Sussexes have kept their distance and chosen not to make an official statement on the allegations.

However, royal expert Michael Cole says it would have been more “wise” for them to have made it very clear they had no connection to the book or its content, especially given the fact that Scobie has previously been described as the "mouthpiece" for the former royal couple.

He told GB News: “The attacks on members of his family. It was quite poisonous, was said and very damaging to individuals. It would have been very hurtful to King Charles and the Prince of Wales.

"It would have been extremely wise had Prince Harry made it clear that he and his wife were not the sources of the book…that they did not stand by what had been written, that they did not endorse it in any way.”

Elsewhere in Endgame, Scobie branded Kate Middleton as a "cold" individual and said she "shudders" whenever Meghan is mentioned in conversation.

He also claimed that the Duke of Sussex was "kept in the dark" about the severity of the late Queen Elizabeth's health decline in the hours before her death.

Scobie alleges that King Charles asked staff to "get rid" of Harry when the Duke of Sussex was in London, claiming he was "overworked" with he relationship between Harry and his estranged older brother William also being laid bare.

The royal author later admitted of the names appearing in the Dutch translation as he said: "Unbeknownst to me at the time, early and uncleared text was provided to the Dutch publisher in order for them to start work on the translation, with the understanding their translation would be updated to reflect the final version of the book I officially submitted.

"Other foreign-language publishers, including in France and Italy, were also doing the same thing, though their versions perfectly replicated the completed work.

"What I can be sure of is I edited carefully, took independent legal advice, and the finished book I submitted was not the version published in the Netherlands."
