ITV This Morning presenter Josie Gibson got a rapturous reception when she returned to the show this morning (Monday, December 18) after her stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle. A big welcome home party had been organised to celebrate her coming back to the This Morning sofa after being voted out of the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here camp in Australia.

On Monday's return show, Josie was joined by King of the Jungle Sam Thompson, 31, who was in the ITV studio to talk about his time in the jungle and about how his life has changed since winning the show. However, it wasn't long until Sam was getting involved in some presenting duties with Josie and co-host Craig Doyle as he helped with Spin to Win, reports The Mirror.

This Morning fans were quick to wonder if this meant Sam was being lined up as a This Morning presenter as they begged for him to co-host the ITV show with Josie. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Sam to host @this morning with @Josiestweet #ThisMorning", a different account put: "Sam needs to present this show #ThisMorning", another viewer said: "#ThisMorning @thismorning The new presenters are Josie & Sam" while another added: "We need Sam for spin to win every day now that’s what I’m talking bout #ThisMorning."

38-year-old mum Josie had been eliminated just before the final of I'm A Celebrity, where Nigel Farage, Tony Bellew and Sam were finalists, with the latter being crowned King of the Jungle. Talking about her return on Monday, Josie, who was presented with her own throne, said: "Oh I've missed you, I've missed you so much! I wasn't the winner but this is lovely. It is so good to be back, I can't even explain to you."

Josie became the seventh contestant to be voted out of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! earlier this month. After she left the camp, the star spoke to hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and said: "I’ve surprised myself, I’m stronger than I thought I was."

Sitting down with the star, the pair asked Josie about her clash with First Dates host Fred Sirieix, which she then described as a "battle of the chefs". Fred, 51, had interfered with the cooking methods of Big Brother star Josie after he relinquished his role as camp chef.

Speaking about the spat, Josie said: "Fred is a trained chef so it’s got to be hard for him… and sorry Fred, but everyone preferred my food."
