Now, imagine this film being directed by Rajkumar Hirani, one of the most sought-after directors in Bollywood. Can one ask for more? Absolutely not is what ‘Dunki’ actor Komal Sachdeva says.

In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Komal, who played Chameli in ‘Dunki’, opened up about working with Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani in the film.

KOMAL SACHDEVA ON SHARING SCREEN WITH SHAH RUKH KHAN

Talking to IndiaToday.in, Komal Sachdeva opened up about the experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan and said, “It is in experience that you can’t express in words. You can only feel it. He is a delight to work with, to be around with and to talk to, and you really can’t put it in words. He has such a positive aura and I really think it comes from inside. From inside, he is so positive about everything, and he is so happy. He treats everyone so nicely.”

People often say that meeting Shah Rukh Khan is a magical experience. Elaborating on that, Komal said, “He behaves and treats you as if you are a star and you are at the centre of the world, and this is for everybody. So, if there are 20 people in the room, everyone will feel the same way, at the same time. I think that’s what is magical about it.”

KOMAL ON BEING DIRECTED BY RAJKUMAR HIRANI

Many actors have often revealed how it is a dream for them to work with Rajkumar Hirani. When we asked Komal about the experience of living this dream, she responded, “Honestly speaking, it was beyond my dream because how many films have Rajkumar Hirani made so far? He makes one film in four years! And how many actors will that project have? What are the odds that there will be a character for you, and you will get a chance? (laughs) With so many permutations and combinations, the chances are so weak! But, I think God was really kind that I was at the right place at the right time. I saw that audition message and everything just went so smoothly.”

She also added, “It makes you believe that what is meant for you will come to you and that it will come to you very smoothly without you even realising it. It’s an amazing feeling. Raju sir’s movies reflect the kind of person that he is – how humble he is and how much consideration he has for people.”

Komal Sachdeva started her career with ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. She has been a part of several films, including ‘Selfiee’ and ‘Sukhee’. She also featured in Hansal Mehta’s series, ‘Scoop’.
