KATRINA ON WORKING WITH SRIRAM RAGHAVAN
The press conference for 'Merry Christmas', starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, was held on January 4. During the event, Katrina confessed that working with Sriram Raghavan has been on her bucket list for a long time.
She said, "There are good directors and good stories, and it has always been my intention to be a part of a good story. I believe that the director is the captain of the film; it's not just the actors. I think this was a combination of some really important factors for me. Working with Sriram Raghavan was always on my bucket list to do, and he is one of my favorite directors. When I heard the story, I was in awe that I was going to get to work with him on a story like this, which is incredible. But, I also think it was right for me. That's probably why sir and I came together for this film."

During the event, the 'Jawan' actor mentioned how working with Sriram Raghavan was one of his best experiences. Vijay, who plays the main lead in 'Merry Christmas', also emphasised on how amazing of a director Sriram Raghavan is.
Vijay said, "I met him in Melbourne during a film festival and award function. Initially, I thought he was very serious, but, in reality, he is not. The cute thing he always does is whenever he wants me to see something, he takes a video and sends it to me. The connection between me and SR was very beautiful. For any positive occasion, like my birthday, or just to talk, he would send me a video. I appreciate how he always remains true to himself. It's delightful to observe Sriram sir and spend time with him."
"One of the things I love about him is that I spent about 25-30 days with him. Usually, when there's a dialogue, it takes a considerable amount of time to finalize it and decide what my character is going to say. However, before that, directors have numerous thoughts that they can't easily convey to the actors. Spending time with the director helps me understand the kind of person he is and how he envisions the film. This connection developed between Sriram Raghavan and me provides me with the freedom of thoughts and expressions when I go to the set, offering me a great deal of comfort," added the '96' actor.
