A KBS reporter was caught sending a negative post about G-Dragon on social media

Journalist Kwon Jang-Ho, the host of Korea 24 at KBS World Radio, stirred controversy by posting a critical message about G-Dragon on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

The incident occurred following G-Dragon's endorsement of the book 'All Questions About Youth & Drugs,' authored by Attorney Kim Hee-jun. This pioneering book in Korea addresses youth drug use, advocating for prevention, education, and support over punishment. G-Dragon's recommendation, where he expressed a commitment to spreading messages of prevention and healing through music, received widespread praise from fans and journalists.

However, Kwon Jang-Ho expressed skepticism in his post: "If it was any celebrity other than G-Dragon, I would be more enthused. But the fact that it's him makes it seem like he's doing it ironically and making a statement rather than something sincere." This comment sparked anger among many, as G-Dragon is recognized for actively combating drug addiction and stigma, including founding a non-profit to aid those in need.

The backlash was swift, leading Kwon Jang-Ho to delete his post and issue an apology, which also drew attention from KBS.

G-Dragon's fans have taken action, reporting the host to his legal team, which is known for addressing any derogatory remarks or messages about the artist.
