Torquay's epic Electric Bay Festival is back - all you need to know

The Electric Bay Festival is back this weekend for its third year, hitting Torre Abbey Meadows, Torquay on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14.

This unique open-air dance music festival takes place on the English Riviera, with the stunning Torre Abbey Meadows hosting two days of premium dance music and production. Recent years have seen acts like Carl Cox, Chase and Status and Pendulum headline the festival, and the festival has a stacked line-up of huge names making the journey to Torquay for Electric Bay.

The summertime spectacular annually invites a selection of local food vendors and bars down to the Meadows to provide a wide variety of food and drink. Here's all you need to know about what's to come this weekend.

Where is the festival?

What time does the festival kick off?

The festival opens at 12pm each day, and will end at 10:30pm. Last entry is 5pm.

Who is headlining this year?

This year will see the likes of Bou, Digga D, DJ EZ, Example, Hybrid Minds, Joel Corry, Kurupt FM, Songer, Sub Focus, Wilkinson and A Little Sound take to the stage during this two-day affair, with a whole host of guests to boot.

Saturday July 13 features a showcase of showcases up and coming talents such as EV, Girls Next Door, Jess Hands and Vibration Lab, and Sunday, July 14 the festival will be blessed by an afternoon takeover from returning legend David Rodigan, who is presenting a fully-fledged ‘Ram Jam’ showcase featuring Grammy award-winning MC Flowdan, Hollie Cook, Eva Lazarus, Mungo’s Hifi and Rebel Clash.

Electric Bay is an 18+ festival, and photo ID will be required at the doors to enter.

Will you be showing the Euro 2024 football final?

On Sunday, July 14 there will be a Euros fan-zone where fans can watch the game on a large screen in the festival grounds.

By far the simplest way to get to Electric Bay is by public transport. There are two nearby bus stops at the Grand Hotel and Torre Abbey Sands serviced by a number of services.
