Roy Keane shares rare glimpse into family life and handling daughters' dating
Roy Keane is known to be an intimidating figure, but he insists he's always been calm and relaxed when his daughters have brought boyfriends home for the first time
by Dan BurnhamSenior Sports Reporter · RSVP LiveRoy Keane, the former Manchester United star and well-known television pundit, has coolly addressed his daughter's dating life.
The Stick to Football podcast co-host, known for giving fans a window into his broadcast career, has typically maintained a private home life away from the media spotlight.
Roy is a private family man who married wife Theresa back in 1997 during his football heyday and fathered five children - Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna, all of whom are now adults.

He opened up during an appearance on last year's The Tommy Tiernan Show on RTE about life surrounded by female family members.
When quizzed by Tiernan on what it's like having so many women in the house, Keane replied with a direct "brilliant" sparking laughter throughout the audience.
Engaging further, Keane clarified: "No it is, brilliant. Really good kids, they're good, very good kids."
Pressed by Tiernan on the most challenging aspect of fatherhood, the Irish football icon contorted his features in thought until Tiernan humorously chided: "Are you f***ing kidding me are ya? " Keane, unfazed, responded: "No, they're ok. Listen when they get a bit older, I suppose boyfriends and that type of carry on, yeah that can be (shrugs).", reports the Irish Mirror.
The tough-as-nails image of Roy Keane was humorously addressed by Tiernan, who likened him to "I'd say it'd be fairly intimidating meeting you now in all fairness. Clint Eastwood in the kitchen," suggesting an encounter could be rather daunting.
However, Keane dismissed the idea, assuring everyone that he's quite easy-going with a comment: "You'd be very surprised. Surely that's the same for everybody."
Despite his pushback, Tiernan questioned Keane's reticent nature, observing: "You're so guarded. Maybe you're just so calm and settled and strong."
Keane confidently brushed off any notion of tension stating: "No, quite relaxed yeah. Do you want me to do a somersault or something? Very relaxed, nice drive up, we're good."
While details on his personal life are typically scarce, viewers can expect Keane to bring his usual fiery analysis as pundit on Super Sunday where he'll watch Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
