Harry Potter star Stanislav Yanevski looks unrecognisable
by Chloe Louise For Mailonline · Mail OnlineHe was the heartthrob who stole Hermione Granger's heart and gave Harry Potter a run for his money during the Triwizard Tournament.
But Victor Krum - played by Stanislav Yanevski - looks unrecognisable after he was pictured 18 years after making his wizarding debut.
Stanislav, 38, has come a long way from chasing Golden Snitches and he looks dapper with his quirky suits, bulging muscles and unique tattoos after making a career turn in recent years.
Victor's character has always been a fan favourite - the Bulgarian seeker's story was short but lasting.
He started as a Quidditch hero after catching the snitch against the Irish in the Goblet Of Fire.
'Dumb Krumb' then became the Durmstrang champion and was sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the Triwizard Tournament.
He competed bravely but he returned home after the announcement of Cedric Diggory's death.
During his time at the legendary institute, the 'Bulgarian Bonbon' captured the heart of Hermione, played by Emma Watson, at the Yule ball.
But their blossoming young love fizzled out and they later became pen pals.
It has been almost two decades since his first appearance in the beloved wizarding series and over the last two decades, he has starred in many hits such as Hostel: Part II and The Cloaking.
But his last credit was in the 2021 movie Last Man Down, as earlier this year, the actor stunned his fans with an unexpected career change.
He is now a lecturer and motivational speaker.
Stanislav penned to his 23,000 followers on Instagram: 'Today was a very motivational day.
'I took part in a lecture and hope to have inspired the students as much as they inspired me.'
The star looks worlds away from the baby-faced actor that captured the nation's hearts in the mid-2000s as he grew his buzzcut into long wavy locks, ditched his acial hair, and is now sporting a moustache.
He is now typically seen sporting snappy suits and colourful top hats inspired by 1940s fashion.
And while his acting days may be behind him, the star is not yet ready to give up his connection with the cult film.
His latest venture saw him promote a Harry Potter-inspired shop giftshop - Elephant Bookstore - which he has been a regular visitor for over ten years.
Stanislav appeared to greet fellow Potterheads as they held a meet and greet.
Taking to Instagram in his eccentric ensemble, he said: 'Travelling through the ages of time, inspired by the world of art in all of its forms and colours.
'Charged up with very positive and friendly energy by the best unique boutique bookstore
'Alone you can conquer dreams. With a team of likeminded friends, you can conquer worlds!'
While promoting the event, the acting Stan revealed that he was in talks about a new business venture, which is yet to be announced.
He now dubs himself an actor, businessman, Youtuber and adventurer on his social media accounts.
Stan wrote on his Cameo: 'Actor and influencer, fitness motivator, Youtuber and Instagrammer all round peoples kind of guy loving to see people smile and be happy.
'Best known for Harry Potter - Viktor Krum but also for #stansarmy and Stan Yanevski now himself. Want a personal message, let's make it unique and special!'
The Devil's Right Hand star sent fans into a frenzy two years ago as he met with fellow Harry Potter stars in France for a 20-year reunion since the release of the first film.
Stan posted a snap of them all together and wrote in the caption: 'Catching up in #france!'
Stan appeared on the left side of the picture beside Hugh Mitchell, 32, who played Gryffindor boy Colin Creevy.
In the centre of the shot was Devon Murray, 33, who played Irish student Seamus Finnigan.
Second from the right was Tolga Safer, 39, who was an aide to the headmaster of the wizarding school Durmstrang in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005.
On the right of the shot was Sean Biggerstaff, 38, who played Gryffindor Quidditch captain Oliver Wood in two of the movies.
Fans of the movies went wild in the comments as they began to recognise who was who.
One wrote: 'The reunion we all desperately needed!'
'What a wonderful photo, you all look great! What a joy you were able to come together for that convention! You all are awesome!'
'Awesome pic and all amazing actors!'
'Almost didn't recognise Sean Biggerstaff. I love him as Oliver Wood!'
