Martin Lewis issues 'no brainer' advice for millions of people

Money saving expert Martin Lewis has issued households with some ‘no brainer advice’ to save you cash. The financial guru says that taking one simple step could save you three per cent on energy bills.

On the Martin Lewis Money Saving Live show on ITV on Tuesday evening, the money saving expert said households can save money on their energy bills. And the deal is available for everyone.

Martin spoke about the E.On next pledge tariff, he said: "In the past, only existing E.on customers, now, anyone can switch to it." The deal works by tracking the price cap, but is three per cent cheaper, as the LiverpoolEcho reports.

He said although the standing daily charge doesn't change, adding: "The bigger user you are, the more you get the benefit."

However, you can only apply if you can pay via direct debit, it is for duel fuel or electricity only and you need a smart meter and must apply online.

Despite an early exit penalty within one year, Mr Lewis added: "This is quite simply a three per cent saving. It's a no brainer."
