LONDON :Switzerland's stock exchange SIX halted trading across stocks, bonds and exchange-traded funds for a second time on Wednesday due to problems with its market data.

SIX first halted trading at around 1000 CET (0800 GMT), citing issues with disseminating data. It later said the issue had been fixed and trading resumed, but then said it was suffering further difficulties and that market activities would be halted again across all products.

The Spanish stock exchange, which SIX operates, was also suffering data problems again, but trading continued as normal, a spokesperson said.

A spokesperson for SIX said Swiss trading had not initially been affected "but we had to halt trading in Switzerland due to equal treatment of market participants".

The Swiss stock exchange is home to companies including Nestle, Roche and UBS. It suffered a roughly three-hour outage in June 2023.

Multiple trades including in bonds, ETFs, and structured products were declared "mistrades" and cancelled in Switzerland, SIX said on its website.
