CBM sells 14 million dollars and 250 million Thai baht in two days

The Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) announced that it sold US$14 million and 250 million Thai baht in the foreign currency market within two days.

The CBM sold US$9 million and 200 million Thai baht in the foreign currency market on January 25. On January 26, it sold US$5 million and 50 million baht more.

The CBM announced that it sold 50 million Thai baht in the foreign currency market on January 19.

The CBM said it also sold US$15 million in the foreign currency market on January 15.

The CBM announced that it sold an additional US$16 million in the foreign currency market on January 5.

On January 1, 2024, the CBM sold US$12.93 million in the foreign currency market and provided a SWAP facility to the Chinese yuan equivalent to four million dollars.

The CBM also sold US$9.72 million on December 18, 2023 and US$12.43 million on December 21 for companies that import fuel, announced the CBM.
