Police are investigating two unexplained deaths after the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered at a property.

Emergency services were called to an address in Gorleston, Norfolk, soon after 7.30pm on Tuesday to a report of concern for a person's safety, police said.

Officers forced their way inside the property and found the bodies in one room.

The man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the deaths are being treated as unexplained and a police cordon remains in place at the property as the investigation continues.

Last month, a murder investigation was launched after a man was pronounced dead at the scene in Clapham Woods, in nearby Norwich.

Andrew Forbes, 39, was charged by Great Yarmouth Police with murder after 40-year-old Daniel Littlewood was found with serious head injuries on June 22.

Forbes appeared at Norwich Crown Court via videolink on June 25 when he spoke only to confirm his details.

A plea and trial preparation hearing is set for August 21 and a trial, expected to last about seven days, scheduled for December.
