‘Don’t sell him’: Some Spurs fans desperate to keep ‘fantastic’ 22-year-old, Leeds reportedly want him

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have urged the club not to part ways with Juan Foyth amid reports linking the Spurs defender with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United.

The 22-year-old has been out of favour since the arrival of Jose Mourinho and has been linked with a departure from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Leeds, who will be playing in the Premier League next season, are one of the sides said to be after Bielsa’s compatriot, according to Argentinian outlet Ole.

Foyth has made just seven appearances for Tottenham in all competitions this term, with four of them coming in the Premier League, and none at all in 2020.

In addition, the 22-year-old was ruled out for much of the post-restart programme with a meniscal injury, though he returned to make the bench against Leicester.

With Crystal Palace up next for Spurs, the club shared a video of Foyth’s winner against the Eagles in November 2018, a goal which prompted then manager Mauricio Pochettino to call his compatriot’s display “fantastic”.

In response, some Tottenham fans on social media rallied round the out-of-favour ace, hoping Mourinho keeps him instead of offloading him:
