Lampard 'I can take a lot of pride from Liverpool performance'

Despite losing 5-3 in a thrilling game at Anfield, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was proud of the performance against Liverpool.

Lampard celebrated that he saw the spirit of improvement in his team looking for a comeback: "Afterwards we made a mistake in a corner, but I think the goal we scored before the break was deserved. And I thought my players were capable of coming back, they almost did. With the 4-3, we were in the game, but then the fifth goal killed us. But until then we had done some very good things," celebrated Lampard.

The England coach is quite happy with the spirit his team are showing: "We did a lot of things right. Even in the crazy first half we were in control at the start. Not total control, because we were playing against Liverpool, but the goal came in a quick attack and it was the first chance they'd generated. It's been a tough few days for the players. After a great performance against Manchester United, coming here and playing the way they have done and competing, being close to 4-4, playing the way we were playing at the time... I don't like losing, but I can be proud.
