Regional parties exploited people for 70 years: BJP

 BJP’s Kashmir Unit on Wednesday stated that Article 370 has become a biggest barrier in the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
Celebrating the rollback of Article 370, party’ senior and workers hoisted tricolor at BJP's Srinagar headquarters to mark the first anniversary on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP JK spokesman Altaf Thakur stated that dream of BJP founder Dr. Shama Prasad Mukherji stands fulfilled as there is only Ek Pradhan, Ek Nishan and Ek Samidhaan.
“Article 370 was the biggest hurdle in the development in Jammu and Kashmir and has also exposed the regional parties who would exploit people,” he said.
Thalkur said it abrogating Article 370 was the historic decision and now there is only flag and one constitution in India.
Party’s Kashmir media-in-charge and senior leader, Manzoor Bhat said the abrogation of Article 370 was an important and much-needed step.
“People see a change in a few years and youth would get more employment opportunities and the rural economy would be boosted through central government schemes,” he said.
Bhat said people were being exploited on the name of Article 370 but now vote bank politics have ended and a new dawn of development has begun in Jammu and Kashmir.
He also condemned the attack of militants on Sarpanch in south Kashmir and stated that such attacks speak that they have frustrated with the development work.
Party senior leader and spokesman, Dr Darakasha Andarabi said abrogating Article 370 was a historic step and after that people of Jammu and Kashmir have got sign of relief from regional parties.
“The decision has given rights to women, more youth are getting employment opportunities and schemes have been directed implemented here without anyone’s approval,” She said.
Senior leader, Ali Muhammad Dar was also present on the occasion, he said from the past 70 years, people of Jammu and Kashmir were being misled by some people, and abrogation of Article 370 has exposed all such faces.
“It was a historic step and we are proud of our prime minister for taking such steps boldly without any further delaying the matter,” he said. The other leaders who were present on the occasion including Arif Raja—and many others. The BJP leaders also showered flowered petals at each other to mark the occasion.

A year after Article 370 revocation, restrictions prevent NC's all-party meet
Srinagar: Curfew-like restrictions remained in force here on Wednesday as authorities foiled plans of the National Conference to hold an all-party meeting on the first anniversary of Jammu and Kashmir losing its statehood and special constitutional status, but BJP cadres held symbolic celebrations to mark the day.
The official curfew was lifted Tuesday evening but there was no easing of restrictions across the valley on the day when a year ago Article 370 of the Constitution giving special status to the state was revoked and it was transformed into a Union Territory.
Authorities said the restrictions were imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Police and CRPF personnel were deployed in strength across the valley, especially Srinagar city, to ensure there were no demonstrations to disturb the peace, officials said.

AIP negates the decisions made on 5th August 2019

Awami Itehad Party top brass lamented that August 5th would always be remembered as a black day, a testimony of betrayal for entire Kashmiri nation as well as an eye opener for international community which has long allowed India to get away with such disenfranchising designs in Kashmir. India has always maintained in international forums its pledge to uphold values of democracy and human rights in Kashmir but ground situation not only invalidates the tall claims but blows to smithereens very concept of human and political rights. Awami Itehad Party vehemently reiterated its stand that it would persevere and use all means necessary to defend the rights of people of Kashmir. Observing the on ground situation where post the unilateral decision of BJP Government, nearly one lakh people lost their jobs and economic damages worth forty thousand crores were borne by businesses party Spokesperson Sheeban Ashai underscored the economic as well as Socia-political ramifications of such a move which have turned an already bruised Kashmir into a melancholic gloom ridden region. Ashai also called the deafening silence of international community over such a politically disastrous move that involved a literal siege of eighty lakh Kashmiris at the hands of central government, criminal. He clarified the position of Awami Itehad Party vis-a-vis Gupkar declaration, Ashai highlighted how Awami Itehad Party has always espoused the cause of people and used every platform in the past also to defend the rights of Kashmiris. We have always had a clear political policy qua core issue of resolution of Kashmir, in light of aspirations of the people. Moreover AIP Leader elucidated how the political outfit would not be part of any group or combination which has always deceived its own people, have a long history of shameful collaboration with forces antithetical to interests of people of Kashmir.

Connivance of Sheikh, Nehru ended with abrogation of Art 370: BJP
Srinagar: Hitting out at NC and Congress, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh on Wednesday said with the abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A), the connivance of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and Jawahar Lal Nehru has ended.
Singh said Article 370 and 35(A) promoted separatism and encouraged militancy in Kashmir which however was slashed down by BJP Government on August 5, 2019.
“With the abolition of Article 370 and 35(A), J&K has been merged into Union of India completely and has become 100 percent integral part of India”, Singh asserted.
He said all laws of the Union of India have been extended to J&K now as 370 and 35(A) has shown doors.
Paying tributes to BJP ideologue Dr Shama Prasad Mukherjee who died on June 23, 1953 in J&K, Singh said the dream of the party legend has come true after seven decades. “The dream of Dr Shama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Prem Nath Dogra and those who laid down their lives for upholding the tricolor eternally in J&K has come true today as we are celebrating first anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A)”, he said.
