COPS are hunting for a ‘tall and thin’ man who battered a 50-year-old in a brutal Glasgow street attack.

The victim was rushed to hospital after suffering serious injuries in the incident on Sunday.

The fight took place at the corner of Bath Street and Buchanan Street

Police say the attack took place on the footpath at the intersection of Bath Street and Buchanan Street at around 4pm Sunday.

The suspect is said to have been wearing ‘dark trousers or tracksuit bottoms, a light coloured top, dark trainers and a baseball cap.’

Cops said two women helped the middle-aged man after he was beaten down, but fled the scene after the police arrived and didn’t give any statements.

Detective Sergeant Euan Keil said: “We would be keen to speak to them or anybody else who may have information about this incident.”

The injured man suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after the alarm was raised.
