An investigation is under way into the death of a man whose body was found in Dublin city centre.

The man's body was found by a member of the public at around 1.50am in a multi-storey car park opposite Brooks Hotel on Drury Street.

The body has been removed from the scene and taken to the morgue for a post-mortem examination, which will determine the course of the investigation.

The Dublin Region Homeless Executive has said the man was not known to homeless services in Dublin, and has never accessed emergency accommodation there.
