Glasgow teenager, 15, rushed to hospital and charged following motorbike and car smash in city

A TEENAGER has been charged after a crash between a motorbike and a car.

The 15-year-old was allegedly riding the off-road bike when it was involved in a collision with a car in Glasgow last night.

The alleged incident happened at the junction of Saracen Street and Keppochhill Road in the north of the city.

Emergency services raced to the scene at about 9.20pm and the teenager was taken to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 15-year-old, the driver of the motorbike, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precaution.

"He has been charged in connection with road traffic offences and a report will be send to the procurator fiscal."

In Edinburgh, a double-decker bus ploughed into a building after veering off the road on Monday.

The coach mounted the pavement and smashed through a set of railings before hitting the building on South East Circus Place in Stockbridge.

And in Dundee, a driver was left with serious injuries after allegedly crashing into railing and traffic lights.

The 26-year-old was rushed to hospital after the alleged smash in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged with road traffic offences.
