Wendouree man charged following alleged escape from police custody

A MAN has been charged with a series of offences following an alleged escape from Ballarat Police station on Monday evening.

The Central Highlands Family Violence Investigation Unit has charged 29-year-old Wendouree man Grant Kelly with nine offences including escape from custody, resisting arrest, criminal damage and assault matters.

Kelly has been remanded in custody.

He will appear at the Ballarat Magistrates' Court this morning.
