The Motorola Edge goes on sale in the U.S. today for $499.99

Today, Motorola announced the U.S. availability of its high-end Edge smartphone, and you can order it starting today. While it announced pricing last month, along with bumped up specs, for a limited time it's available for $200 off of its normal price, so you can get it for $499.99.

Announced earlier this year, Motorola's Edge+ heralded the company's return to the flagship space. The Edge came alongside it, but with some compromises, such as 4GB RAM instead of 12GB RAM. Luckily, one of the bumped up specs confirmed last month is that it will now come with 6GB RAM.

It also comes with a Snapdragon 765 chipset for high-end performance, and support for sub6 5G. The screen is the same as on the Edge+, with a 6.7-inch 21:9 90Hz OLED panel that supports 10-bit color. There's a 64MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8MP 2x zoom lens, and a 16MP ultra-wide lens on the back, and you'll be able to shoot 16MP images using quad pixel binning for better low-light performance.

You can purchase the device now from Best Buy, B&H Photo, Amazon, and Motorola.com, and it will ship on July 31.
