Scarlett Moffatt leaves mum Betty speechless as she throws her an epic 50th birthday in an inflatable pub
by Nick Ferris · The SunSCARLETT Moffatt has left her mum Betty speechless after throwing her an epic 50th birthday in an inflatable pub.
The former Gogglebox star, 29, didn't let the 30 person coronavirus limit hold her back as she went all out with a luxury chocolate cake and a silent disco.
Scarlett shared pictures of the pub on her Instagram, which had a fake brick exterior but real drinks and barmen inside.
She also arranged for a swing singer, Matthew Lowery, to come and entertain guests, as well as a pop covers artist Toni Anderson.
The evening began with everyone dancing in couples while Lowery crooned.
But by the end of the night Betty was standing on a chair raving out to electronic music on her own.
The former Queen of the Jungle shared a picture of a luxurious double-tiered chocolate cake, decorated with gold leaf and a champagne bottle made from icing.
Betty also spent time posing for pics with celebrity crush Robert DeNiro - or at least with a cardboard cutout that Scarlett had brought in for her.
Commenting on the decorations, Scarlett said she 'managed to find the biggest number balloons' in order to highlight her mum's milestone.
Later on, Betty, Scarlett and other guests headed out for more drinks and a socially distanced outdoor gig.
Despite rain and clouds, Scarlett seemed in good spirits as she sang along to tunes with a pal.
Betty's party comes as it was recently announced Scarlett is due to appear on new ITV show Celebrity Karaoke Club in the autumn.
Other celebs due to make an appearance include DJ Roman Kemp and former Diana Vickers.
She recently showed she is more than ready to compete, as she wowed fans with a cover of Liza Minnelli's hit song cabaret.
Scarlett's boyfriend Scott Dobinson, who not long ago described as 'her soulmate', was also at the party.
Scarlett discussed her hopes to get engaged soon in a recent interview with The Sun.
