Janhvi Kapoor opens up about trolls, says people commented “good your mother is not around” when ‘Dhadak’ released

Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most sought-after star kids we have on the block. Despite belonging to a family from a film background, she has had her share of struggles. Being active on social media, she has not been immune to online trolls. Talking about the same to a news portal, Janhvi reportedly said that she has been trolled ever since the day her debut film, ‘Dhadak’ released. However, she added that she doesn’t allow herself to get bitter about it.

Elaborating more, she revealed that when her first film came, she even got comments like, ‘Good that your mother is not around to see this’. According to her, she can’t allow herself to get bitter or hurt. She said that she would rather see the criticism as an opportunity to better herself. She would rather live in a bubble where everything is okay and then try to improve herself.

Janhvi made her big Bollywood debut with ‘Dhadak’ co-starring Ishaan Khatter. The movie was an official remake of Nagraj Manjule’s hit Marathi film, ‘Sairat’. The Hindi remake received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike.

On the work front, Janhvi will next be seen in ‘Dostana 2’. The movie will also star Kartik Aaryan and Lakshya in lead roles.
