Family and friends crowd poolside and the overhead walkway as Jehovah's Witnesses are baptized in July 1974 in the swimming pool at the Holiday Inn West, I-40 and S Meridian. The baptismal event was part of a four-day assembly of more than 8,400 Jehovah's Witnesses at the Myriad Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City. About 300 people were baptized in the motel pool.
