SUM-ONE YOU LOVED

Lewis Capaldi has become a millionaire from his music after the last 12 months

LEWIS Capaldi spent lockdown staying with his mum and dad, and I hope they are charging him rent after I discovered how much he has in the bank.

The Scot has become a millionaire after his profile soared last year.

New figures for his company Face Like Thunder Ltd show he had cash reserves of £909,854 from sales and royalties up until September 2019 – and the sums don’t include any profits from his sold-out tours, which is sure to push him over £1million.

And although he doesn’t have any live shows on the horizon, he has rescheduled a series of shows for 2021 – including the Latitude Festival.

It’s a good job he has found fame and fortune in music as he almost became a fishmonger – despite hating fish.

He said: “My dad is a fishmonger. He has a fish shop, one that sells fresh fish, KP’s Fresh Fish.

“So I’d probably have worked there.

“But I hate fish. I hate the smell of fish and I can’t look at prawns in the face.”

Stick to singing, Lewis.
