Two children seriously injured, one critical after driveway incident in Te Kūiti

Two young children are seriously injured after a driveway incident in King Country on Wednesday.

Emergency services, including two helicopters, were called to a home on Alisa Street in Te Kūiti around 4:50pm.

A police spokesperson said two young children were injured and transported to hospital, one in a critical condition and another serious.

The child who was in a serious condition is now stable with minor injuries while the other remains in a critical condition.

The spokesperson said a scene examination has taken place at the scene and the Serious Crash Unit are investigating.

Hato Hone St John said two helicopters were called to transport the children to hospital.
