Car flips onto its side in crash in residential Derby street

Police found the Volkswagen Golf on its side in the middle of a road just off Normanton Road

A car was found on its side in a residential street in Derby. The incident occurred on Moore Street off Normanton Road, in the Rose Hill and Normanton area of the city, at around 5.10pm on Sunday, March 17.

The crash involved a Volkswagen Golf, which was found on its side, and two stationary vehicles. The incident left the road blocked and the Golf was recovered by Derbyshire police at around 7pm.

Derbyshire police have released a statement following the incident. A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary said: "We were called just before 5.10pm on Sunday, March 17 to reports of a collision on Moore Street in Derby.

"No serious injuries were reported to us, and no arrests have been made. Any witnesses to the collision should contact us using reference number 24000159325." You can contact Derbyshire police using the following methods:
