Liverpool earned all three points in their Premier League clash with Sheffield United on Wednesday evening, goals from Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai helping Jurgen Klopp's side to victory.

The Reds required a win to keep the pressure on league leaders Arsenal and were able to achieve this in relatively comfortable fashion. Sheffield United went into this match with a new manager in the dugout, though Chris Wilder was unable to inspire an unlikely three points.

Van Dijk stroked home from inside the box during the first half to put Liverpool on their way to triumphing and Szoboszlai added a second goal late in stoppage-time to ease any nerves in the away end.

Up next is an away trip to Crystal Palace, which comes on Saturday afternoon. Below is a look at Liverpool's next six league fixtures - then those of their rivals.

December 9 - Crystal Palace (A): Once a bogey fixture for the Reds in the last decade, this has not proven to be the case in more recent times. Palace have not beaten Liverpool since April 2017.

December 17 - Manchester United (H): It doesn't get much bigger than this. Klopp's side last year inflicted a humiliating 7-0 defeat on their arch rivals at Anfield and will fancy their chances of causing another day to forget for United based on recent performances from the Red Devils.

December 23 - Arsenal (H): A huge game at Anfield during the thick of the festive season. The result of this contest could have huge implications on the Premier League title race.

December 26 - Burnley (A): Burnley have struggled to impose themselves upon their return to the top-flight, though are usually a tougher proposition on home soil. Liverpool won at Turf Moor on Boxing Day in 2014, Raheem Sterling scoring the game's only goal.

January 1 - Newcastle (H): The Reds will kick off the New Year in style, hosting Newcastle United in what promises to be a fiery encounter at Anfield. Liverpool came from a goal and man down to beat the Toon Army back in August.

January 21 - Bournemouth (A): Returning after the Premier League's winter break, Liverpool make the long trip to Bournemouth - a ground at which they suffered defeat last term.
