Travis Kelce waves and blows kisses to Bills Mafia as Chiefs secure playoff win
· New York PostTravis Kelce blew a kiss to Taylor Swift after he scored a touchdown and then, with just over a minute left in the game, he appeared to blow a kiss to the heartbroken fans in Western New York as the Chiefs had all but guaranteed a win on Sunday.
The Chiefs superstar seemingly taunted the crowd at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., as Kansas City punched its ticket to the AFC Championship game in a 27-24 victory over the Bills.
As the seconds ticked away late in the fourth quarter, CBS cameras caught Kelce blowing kisses toward the stands and waving to the crowd as snowballs could be seen flying at the Kansas City sideline.
Kelce, who scored two touchdowns in front of his girlfriend Swift and the Highmark Stadium crowd, praised Buffalo and Bills Mafia postgame.
“I got a lot of respect, not only for this team, but this organization, this fan base,” Kelce told Westwood One Sports after the game. “It was an unbelievable environment. Just really proud of the guys I came here with to fight through it and get a win there in the fourth quarter, it felt great.”
When asked about the five lead changes in Sunday’s AFC divisional-round matchup, Kelce simply said, “It just felt like a Bills-Chiefs game, baby.”
Bills kicker Tyler Bass missed a 44-yard field goal attempt wide right with 1:44 left on the clock that would have tied the score.
Bills Mafia had not been particularly welcoming to Kelce, the Chiefs or Swift, which may have led to the tight end rubbing a little salt in the wound at the end of the game.
Swift was booed by the Buffalo crowd upon her arrival Sunday, and fans were throwing snowballs at Patrick Mahomes as he ran off the field.
Chiefs Kingdom will travel to Baltimore next weekend to face the Ravens in the AFC title game.
